College at Glance

SSK Arts and Commerce College, Naigaon, was established in 2009 in Naigaon village at the bank of the Godavari River. It is a branch of the mother institute, Dhanlaxmi Shikshan Sanstha. The main objective of our College is to provide opportunities for higher education to the students of rural and urban areas. The College was started in a school building with merely 20 students in arts and 14 in commerce faculties respectively. Since then, the College has witnessed a remarkable growth in the number of students seeking admission to different courses. The College has the facilities like a spacious Playground, indoor outdoor games with a collection of 3,000 Books, an extensive reading hall, a Health Centre, a Placement Cell, Competitive Examinations Guidance Cell, well equipped Computer Laboratories, a Language Laboratory for English, Internet Hub etc. are some of the salient features of the College. There are several rank holders to the credit of the College. The College has a staff of about 24, consisting of fifteen Teachers and nine non- teachings. Our College has a qualified Faculty of about seven teachers, of which 3 are PhD holders, and three are pursuing their PhD from the Savitribai Phule Pune University. The teachers regularly contribute to social and cultural activities and their teaching work.

Teachers of this College have published research papers in various reputed journals. The College consistently organized Workshops, Seminars, Symposia etc., to motivate the teachers and students. The College established an "Abhyasika" to prepare village students for Competitive Examinations such as MPSC/ Staff selection/Army/Civil Services etc. Many students have been recruited in the Military and Police departments. The College has an advanced computing facility with the latest hardware and necessary software. The College has provided Broadband Internet facilities to all the departments and standard facilities for the students since 2015. The College has developed a healthy and safe atmosphere conducive to developing the students' personalities.
